The “Pacific Garden Therapy Center” is designed to provide a low level of stress for its’ patients by returning them to a simple, ‘back-to-nature’ life. Bizarre events begin to happen, growing into complete chaos. But, not to worry, the story ends happily for most of the characters.

One young girl, a would-be actress, fights her anger with the world by writing pornography. Her publisher comes to the farm to negotiate a film contract. Another young girl suffering from rejection by her parents is shocked as her father appears demanding that she sign some papers critical to his business. A boy with a prison record and bad luck is suspected of committing a series of bank robberies in the area and police arrive at the farm to arrest him and recover stolen property.

Another boy has secretly grown marijuana on the farm and tries to market it in the nearby town. (don’t miss this chapter)

Even the cook and gardener have a past life that follows them to the Farm.

Into this seething group comes a placid African Prince. The U.S.Government agrees to aid a small African country in the midst of political upheaval to hide a Royal Prince from potential assassination by hiding him on the Farm where his unusual appearance will go unnoticed. The Prince brings a placid maturity to the Farm. His worldly attitude encounters the confusion of the youngsters and helps each of them to renewal. They can’t help him in return when “the Media” finds him.

The C.I.A. removes him to another place of safety when TV Reporters discover his identity. With a new energy “the Farm” continues to treat new youngsters with their PsychoAgroTherapy.


About the Author

Mr. Woodruff worked for several years in the advertising business in New York and then re-cast his life in sunny California. This may seem similar to the character of Larry Butcher in A Farm Where People Grow. Externally a businessman, he is internally an artist, an actor, a singer and now an author. He first envisioned this story as a film. He has worked as a day-player in several films. He may write a screen play of this book.
