About the Book

She was a young lady who had her whole life ahead of her.  A promising career, hopes for a husband and family in the future.  He was older, and twisted by years of abuse at the hands of an equally depraved mother.  And then their worlds collided.

Sam is looking for a wife, but he lacks the social graces to find one in the usual way.  So, instead, he spends the better part of 20 years kidnapping women at random, hoping to find the perfect woman.  When his plans go awry, as they inevitably do, he simply disposes of one and finds another.

'Sam and Tracy' is the story of their relationship, and the people in their lives.  Sam is certain that he has, at long last, found the woman he will wed.  He holds her captive for seven months, until things go terribly wrong between them.  Just as Sam decides that he must end their affair, Tracy manages to escape.  She is the first and only one to do so.  But now, she has the daunting task of finding civilization.  Of finding help.

She doesn't really find help so much as help finds her.  And then she must begin the long, arduous task of recovery -- physically, mentally, and emotionally.  It's a long road, and it's an uphill battle.  And the next few months just might prove to be even harder than her time in captivity.
