Tumbles - The Legend Begins

About the Book

When I was growing up my mother made quilts for us out of old clothes and left over material. Back then most clothes were handmade because not many could afford to buy them. One day I was going through some things and I found this old and worn out quilt. I recognized some of the material of things my sisters and I had worn. I wanted to preserve the memories so I turned the old quilt into a bear and wrote a poem in honor of my mother. As time went on I decided to turn my poem into a book and to create a character for the bear. I made some changes from the original poem and named the bear after some of my grandkids. Tumbles has become a member of my family and you would think it was real! All that is talked about is Tumbles and the characters, which are designed after some of the children’s personalities. Look for more adventures of Tumbles and friends in the future.

About the Author

I grew up in a family whose parents had to work very hard to make ends meet. Some of my favorite memories is my mother sitting and sewing at her sewing machine. I have always written poems and little stories and never did anything with them. I wanted to leave a legacy for my kids and grandkids so I created Tumbles. This has been a lifelong dream to publish a book and I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Thank you, Jane
