About the Book

Belleville is a coming-of-age story based on the life of the author’s own mother, Margaret, who grew up in southern Illinios. This book tells the tale of her and her extended family’s colorful life during the struggle and the simple lifestyle of the Depression era and on into the distress and prosperity of the Second World War.

About the Author

Kathleen Leonard is a freelance writer who lives in Eugene, Oregon. Her work has appeared in publications such as West by Northwest, Eugene Weekly, and the Fair Family News. Belleville is her second novel.
