About the Book
This fast-paced story of espionage and medical mystery begins in the Himalaya mountains, where an unsuspecting trekker encounters a village of dead Sherpas, while a Russian agent finishes his work in Kathmandu, Nepal. Meanwhile, Dick Swept, a neurologist at the Texas College of Medicine, Houston Medical Complex, investigates a drug that alters how brains process memory. Swept has demonstrated the effectiveness of this medication in animals, and wants to test it in humans, but his Chairman refuses to grant permission to experiment on people with Alzheimer´s Disease, thwarting possible scientific progress. Unknown to Swept, a cabal of ex-KGB agents, Russian scientists, and a Chechen spy have discovered a similar chemical, with which they plan world domination. Lacking any constraints, the Russians kill innocent people and plan to eliminate Swept and his colleagues as they seek to control the media, countries, and the world.
