About the Book

In this touching memoir, two young boys recall their grandmother in a loving way. When they were little, their Mita would lay them on her chest and rock them in her arms. She also joined them in their adventures; in the summertime, they would always swim and have their picnics on the beach. However, as time went by, Mita couldn’t do a lot of things that she used to be able to. One day, mommy came to pick up the boys from school with tears in her eyes. Mita was gone, she said. Will the boys ever feel her loving touch again? A tender story, MITA: A Memoir of my Grandmother reminds readers of the loving care, comfort, and warmth that only grandparents can give. All proceeds of the book will be given to the American Heart Association.
