Michael Ayoub is a Foreign Affairs Officer with the Department of State and a retired Military Intelligence Officer. Among his twenty years overseas have been tours in Bosnia, the Arabian Gulf, and Iraq. His concern and respect for the welfare or American servicemen, past and present, was instrumental in his appointment to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs Operation Iraq and Enduring Freedom Advisory Committee. He has a life-long interest in the preservation of history and counts among his ancestors two Revolutionary, seven Civil War, WWI, WWII and Korean War veterans. His debut article "Hessians in Our Midst" was published in 2008 in "The Alexandria Chronicle".
