About the Book

Time: Circa 20,000 B.C.E. Place: Southwestern France The clan had just been preparing for the cold winter months ahead, when a terrible volcanic eruption forced them on the run. With nothing but what they could carry, they faced perilous adventures of survival that lead them to a new and uncharted land. Talbot, the leader of the Kashites, and his small clan learn many new lessons in “Winter of the Wolf Cave.”

About the Author

I’ve been teaching sixth graders for the last 29 years and absolutely love my job. I often tell stories as a way of keeping their attention because, teaching ancient history to 11 and 12 year olds can be challenging at best. I began telling this story to them a few years ago so that they could connect with the hunter gatherers. With their unending encouragement I finally wrote the story out, and now to their delight it’s a book that they can enjoy for years to come. D.K. Wyatt
