About the Book

Athena’s Curse is the untold adventures of Princess Athena who is cursed by evil Queen Silvia to become evil. Athena teams up with the mutants from the haunted sewer to take revenge on Prince Arthur and the villagers. Together they go on a series of mischievous adventures that shatter the love and friendship she had. Throughout the story, Athena fights with her divided self of good and evil expressing her feelings and inner fights in monologues and emotional songs. Will she be able to conquer her dark side or will the evil devour her forever…? Join Athena in her journey to find her true self and discover whether she fits in the world of good or evil.

About the Author

Marianne Mkrtchian, the author of Athena’s Curse, was born in New York City in 2005. She is an American-Armenian who is very proud of her heritage. She loves reading and her favorite series are The Sisters Grimm and Wayside School. Marianne writes stories, diaries, comics and beautiful poems. Athena’s Curse is the first book of Marianne, which she wrote in 3rd grade at John G. Dinkelmeyer Elementary. She was very much inspired by her mother’s and her teacher’s ideas about perseverance and staying true to your values. Marianne now lives in Long Island. She also attends Armenian Saturday School, takes piano and violin lessons, and devotes her free time to reading and writing. Currently she is working on her second book The Vikings of Valor.
