About the Author

About the Author My name is Jack Nightengale, I have been writing poetry for the past seven years. It has become more than a hobby for me, it has become a passion. I was first introduced to poetry by my mother. She used to write for herself just because she enjoyed it. She eventually stopped writing and I took her place. She has been my idol since birth as well as Edgar Allen Poe. At first my poetry started as child’s play but eventually I learned how powerful imagination could really be. My style of poetry may not be the greatest but, it’s me and it’s how I choose to show my imagination. By the year of 2007 my way of writing changed as I had enlisted into the Armed Forces. Through the service I gained more ideas and and a greater view of imagination. In order for me to write my poems, I became the character in them to better express them. By doing so it taught me that, no one has to witness a tragedy or even be a part of one to know the emotion. Sometimes thinking about how another person would feel if something were to happen is powerful enough for you to write your own story about it. By putting myself as the character it helped my imagination grow. As my imagination grows, so does my understanding of the people around me. It helps me see the things that I would have missed if I weren’t social, if I wasn’t active. As time passes us by, we lose sight of the things that are right in front of us. Now let us open our minds and escape into our own imagination. I hope that you enjoy reading this book as much as I enjoyed writing it.
