About the Author

Maria Luisa Robles (Nickname: “Marilu"),Author and Illustrator of the Magic Wheels of Love Born in September 25 in Manhattan, New York and educated Bishop Denis J. O’Connell and J.E.B. Stuart High Schools. She was awarded a four year Honor Roll Northern Virginia Community College, Nova Community College, A.A. and A.S. (magna cum laude - each) Concentrationing in Psychology, Education and Languages, Charter Oak State College; completed B.A. (with concentrations in Psychology Education, and Spanish and French, English, Language Studies and Writing. Marilu is trying to complete a Master’s degree in Psychology and help others from a distance on a 24/7 basis. Having worked as translator, tutor, writer, language teacher (Spanish, French, English T.E.S.L.) Social Worker, T.E.S.I. director/coordinator; Marilu is well versed in the written word and English language. Also, although presently quite ill with severe Fibromyalgia and other painful muscoskeletal illness, she continues to persue a Masters Degree in Psychology by distance learning, hoping to help others as a "Dear Abbey", writing advice to newspapers, magazines, etc. and/or set up my own website like “Dear Abbey”—and to teach bilingually from a distance. Marilu is a member of the International Society of Authors and Artists, International Club and the French Honor Society, Glee Club and Catholic Church choir and youth group, Catholic Writers Group. Published Works: Poetry – “A love That True” (Yet, I retain a copyright of this, as I was told). Awards Received: Merit of Outstanding Literacy Achievement, “A Love that’s True.” Scholarly Certificate Awards for best student of graduating class in Social Studies and Foreign Language (French), Excellence in Spanish Catholic War Veterans Award for Best Student of Graduating Class in Social Studies. Graduated from High School with 4-year Honor Roll and Magna Cum Laude for College. Also received a diploma in Biblical counseling from the American Association of Christian Counselors.
