About the Book

“Salute to Serendipity” is a book of love poems with leitmotifs on the Kandyan Convention 1815 (which marked the importance of the Kandyan Kingdom of Ceylon and its preserving of Buddhism as a treaty with the United Kingdom) and the serendipitous setting, the paradise island of Sri Lanka. The various poems range from love sonnets to cultural verses, enabling a reader’s vivid imagination take control of the passionate and colorful words.

About the Author

The author is a published writer whose focus is romantic poetry. He has dedicated his literary work to the benefi t of the impoverished. As such, the royalties from this book benefi ts the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund. The author resides in Washington, D. C. and continues to work on his future publishing projects, dealing with the Buddhist philosophy, unconditional love, random acts of kindness among other themes.
