The Awesome Foursome

About the Book

The Awesome Foursome consists of little stories incorporating the most frequently used words in the English language and focused on the three Rs—rhyme, rhythm, and repetition. They involve four children—Tim, Ben, Alex, and Gen—and a cat called Tiny having a fun time together, but more importantly, working with words focused on understanding parts of speech, correct usage, and numbers up to a hundred. The series so far includes three titles of increasing complexity: Two by Two; The Famous Four; and, for older children, The Awesome Foursome.

About the Author

Hilary Schofield (PhD, MEd, BA, MAPS) is a psychologist who has worked in both public and private sectors. She has spent much of her professional life on policy-related research in education and health. Research for her doctorate focused on the relationship between teacher and pupil attitudes and achievement in literacy and numeracy. She has published widely in academic journals, major reports, and several books. A complete list can be provided.
