About the Book

At age seven, young Ciceroni, a prince of the dai'mon-goth kingdom, loses his right eye due to a vicious snake bite while simultaneously unlocking fiery dragon powers he didn't realize he had. Fast-forward twenty-one years into the future, the young prince is twenty-eight, and he has a sister, aged twenty-one, named Penelope. Both are wanted fugitives by their own kingdom. While dreaming, Penelope receives a vision from an entity called the Voice. The Voice tells her that she and her brother must go to the Star-rim—gates that lead to the other ten districts of their realm. Within moments the kindred are attacked by rolling, twenty-five-foot-tall stone creatures. These enemies cannot die! So how do you kill something that cannot be killed?

About the Author

I was born on July 17, 1989. Raised by my parents in a household of twenty-two siblings: I am one of six brothers, seven sisters, and several nieces and nephews. I grew up in Chicago, Illinois, in the Englewood community. I went to Charles R. Henderson Elementary and Englewood High School. I've been drawing ever since I was five years old. Went to college for a year but dropped out to join the army. I served three and a half years at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and was medically discharged from service. I currently reside in Oak Grove, Kentucky, with my son, Christian Noah Marchman.
