About the Book

Unity: A Curriculum Guide to Violence Prevention and Peace Education/Social Emotional Education Unit I is a curriculum guide that can help you get in touch with your feelings and help you to reflect on ideas that are pertinent to many aspects of your life. Whether you are at school, home, work, or simply trying to understand yourself, the practices in this curriculum reflect ideas that can be helpful to you. Dealing with deep reflection can help you open your heart to receive new knowledge in a different way. This philosophy is very different from other social/emotional education theories because the method comes from a martial arts philosophy and martial arts science approach that is new in mainstream society. It demonstrates and illustrates how to help a person strengthen him or herself regardless of where they come from. If you are a person who is looking to grow and learn new ideas to better yourself, then Unity: A Curriculum Guide to Violence Prevention and Peace Education/Social Emotional Education Unit I may be able to do that for you. Remember, “It’s not what happens to you; it’s what you do with what has happened to you. It’s not what is said to you; it’s what you answer to.” If there is life in your body, you have to make a choice if you want unity in your life!
