The poems in this volume describe her Melanie’s 10-year journey through life, its ups and down and highlights along the way. An English girl who became an Australian Woman. A journey of discovery across the known world, through the hitherto undiscovered pathways of self.

About the Author

Melanie Ann Vance is a just an ordinary woman born in the UK, a nurse, housing officer and magistrate. In her 40’s she moved to Australia and during this cathartic process which saw many things change, including her marriage, she discovered her ability with rhyme. Stepping outside her normal environment “out of her time” if you like she began to write. She uses the writing of poetry to understand herself and to heal, and so the time travelling poet was born. She now lives with her dog, Arthur (her “Golden Shadow”), in deepest darkest Dorset and continues to document life with verse.
