The Early Poems

About the Book

Almost all the poems in this book were written when I was between the ages of twenty-two and thirty-one. I was living in Columbus, Ohio; Oberlin, Ohio; and Los Angeles, California, chronologically. The topics of the poems vary greatly, including an interest in women, a love for nature, an interest in the supernatural, a search for the meaning in life, and an understanding of God. I hope that you enjoy reading these poems as much as I did in researching the past poetry of mine, compiling them, and typing them up on my computer. About the Author

Steven Griffing is a caucasian male. He was born in Canberra, Australia, A.C.T., in 1956. He have been single all of his life. His family moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1964. He graduated from Oberlin College in 1979 with a major in mathematics. He also moved to Los Angeles, California in 1980. Steven received a State of California teaching certificate for secondary education in mathematics in 1984. He is currently, retired, and have been on S.S.D.I. (Social Security Disability Insurance) since 1991. He moved back to Columbus, Ohio from Los Angeles in 1990. He has three sisters, and no brothers.
