Volcanos, Roses, and Manteles

I have known Carlos for 23 days. I haven been with him for approximately 3 and a half hours. Since I've returned home we have texted almost daily for hours at a time. When the WiFi signal is good we video chatted, again for hours at a time. Carlos had professed his love for me. He has aske me to let him love me forever. O have told him that Iove him. I think about him obsessively. I have a permanent smile on my face whenever I talk to him or about him. Yet, I have some dobts about this thing that I am feeling. Is it real? Or is it just something that happened because of the situation that we found ourselves in? Was it meant to be? Did it end when I returned to Costa Rica? Am I being unrealistic to think that something is going to come of this? Am I going to return to Ecuador? If I do will we still feel the same about each other? How long will it take hime to forget about me? How long will it take him to get bored with texting me? These questions whirled through me head as often as Carlos did. This thing that we have or had doesn't happen to ordinary people. It especially doesn't happen to people in the 60's who are from different worlds.
