About the Book
MERGE! is a candid and irreverant look at the state of modern-day interstate driving in America. Written by a professional truck driver with more than three million accident-free miles under his belt, MERGE! dissects the issues that plague anyone and everyone who puts in time on the American freeway. From tailgaters to lane-hoppers, from semis to cellphones, this book takes you not only behind the wheel, but also inside the mind of the characters who inhabit today's interstate highways. Folks like "Left-lane Louie" and "CC Rider". Or "Truckin' Tommy and "Randy Rampster". If you've ever driven the freeway you will instantly recognize and be amused by the cast of highway houligans profiled in MERGE! But this book is far more than just humor. In an attempt to give you, the reader, the benefit of his many years of driving experience, the author offers valuable, expert advice on how to deal with the many hazards present in modern-day interstate driving. You will learn not only how to drive more safely, but also how to beat some of the crazies at their own game and retain more of your sanity. MERGE! will take you on the ride of your life - you will laugh, you may even cry, but one thing is certain: you will never look at your interstate drive the same once you have read this book.
