The Perfect Raisin and Pretzel Cousins Club is a tale of cousins who decide to form a club. They are part of a blended family and are all very different little "raisins" or "pretzels." The original club members face questions and concerns about allowing new members who are different from them to join their club.

About the Author

Hi! My name is Catherine Eileen Johnson Carroll Sistrunk Tobin. No, I’m not Spanish. I just have strong emotional connections to each of my names, so I never give one up! I am a proud grandmother of seven, soon to be eight. Ours is a blended family. I feel strongly that family is not about shared DNA but about shared experiences, memories, and love. I want my grandchildren to grow up knowing that they are truly family and truly cousins. I am an Air Force brat who has lived in 17 states and in Libya, Africa. I call Long Beach, Mississippi hometown but now split my time between Boston MA, Beaver Creek CO, Brentwood TN, and San Francisco CA. My past careers included registered nurse, army officer, and medical educator. I have never been an author, but I have dreamed of writing a children's book. However, I had no great idea, and I considered myself to be a poor writer. Nevertheless, one sleepless night in Iceland, after a bag of chocolate-covered raisins, inspiration struck! I am honored to have a fellow Mississippian and lifelong friend as the amazing illustrator; thank you Ellie for your hard work and dedication!!
