About the Author
Susan was born in Western Australia and moved to Carnarvon for her first teaching position where she met her husband. Susan lived and taught in remote regions of Western Australia with her husband and three sons. They travelled far beyond the well-worn roads, past empty land and pastures without a building in sight; sometimes a water tank, sometimes the roof of a shed. They visited towns with a single hotel which provided all a wayward traveller could need. A cold beer and a shower. These experiences started Susan thinking about how towns began; this inquisitiveness led to her imagination of Farm ily. Susan spent nineteen years teaching and loving every minute in Denham, Shark Bay, before retiring and moving to East Perth with her husband.
