About the Author

As one of fourteen children Peter Laney was born in Cromwell, Central Otago but grew up and was educated in Dunedin. Peter is now living in Palmerston North with his wife and has a daughter and son, both now young adults, and two granddaughters. Working as a tanker driver in the dairy industry he first wished to write about his career as a milk tanker driver describing a typical day at work as an informative book for children but now he is looking at developing this idea as a series with the truck as a central character. But it was his two year old granddaughter’s love for a particular animal which has inspired this first book.
