About the Book
This book contains sixty-fi ve poems selected from many poems written by Jiten Borkakoti during 1964 and 2011. It is hoped that people from all walks of life will enjoy reading the poems that deal with human emotions of love in its multifarious dimensions, and also with the wider questions of human existence and timeless eternity. Hence, the title of the book aptly is Love & Life. Some poems are relatively more abstract than others, but abstraction helps to capture emotional depth and intensity. A poem in the last analysis is a painting of a thought painted in words.
About the Author
Dr. Jitendralal Borkakoti, who likes to be known as Jiten Borkakoti, lives in Hertfordshire, England. A graduate from Delhi University where he obtained his BA(Hons) Degree from Hindu College and MA from Delhi School of Economics, Dr. Borkakoti went on to earn his MSc(Econ) and PhD in Economics at the London School of Economics. After retirement from Middlesex University, London, where he taught economics, Dr. Borkakoti, who has been writing poems for about forty-fi ve years, a fact unknown to his colleagues, has edited his poems, and has prepared a collection of his poems. His poems deal with love and life.
