About the Author

Henry O. Omorere, a master’s graduate from Glasgow Caledonian University, UK, was born in the heart of Warri, oil rich but vastly impoverished city in the Niger Delta area of Nigeria. Through decades of studying and growing up in a society defi ned by poverty, materialism, gross institutional corruption, communal unrest and political practices that have thrown the nation further deep into underdevelopment, his post graduate national service in a governor’s offi ce created an insight to the magnitude of rot in government and public service delivery. In resignation to these as a natural phenomenon, the system in later course threw up events that led him out of the shores of Nigeria. His arrival to the UK offered vintage positive experience on governance and public service delivery. Although Lost Legacies is Omorere’s fi rst book, he has however written some published articles for This day Newspapers of Nigeria in a bid to get Nigerian government thinking again and act rightly for the large majority poor.
