About the Author

Dr. Abidullah Ghazi is an American citizen of the Islamic faith and of Indian origin. He hails from a prominent family of Islamic scholars who actively took part in India’s struggle for freedom. Dr. Ghazi enjoyed the unique privilege of studying in traditional madrasahs as well as the highest seats of academia in India, England and the United States. He received his PhD in comparative religion from Harvard, and he taught religion at a number of universities and colleges around the world. In 1983, both he and his wife, Dr. Tasneema Ghazi, established IQRA’ International Educational Foundation in order to develop programs of Islamic education for today’s children. Dr. Ghazi has been listed as one of the world’s 500 Most Influential Muslims as ranked by The Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding, Georgetown University.
