About the Author

My name is Mary Louise. I was born in Yazoo City Mississippi on February 25, 1954. This is my first actual publication. I am the single mother of two young African American men. I have a beautiful lovely granddaughter of four years old. I came from a family of over achievers three brothers and two sisters. I was raised by a single mother and never knew my father. My family is truly a picture of the American dream from poverty to success. I have tried to take some of my experiences and experiences of others with various situations and scenarios and put them in poetry form.
