A novel of Southern California in the 1950’s. Hollywood Park during the spring/summer meet is the central locale. The story is not a racetrack yarn, it is a study of characters who have a common venue in thoroughbred racing. The unique happenings to the John McGowan character has never been written as a plot line to my knowledge. A divergent group of people with interesting backgrounds.

NEIL MCGRAW- Born in Michigan now residing in Las Vegas, Nevada with his artist wife Claire. Writing and thoroughbreds horses are primary interests. ALIX MOSIEUR Born in El Paso, Texas now residing in Vida, Oregon where she is a commercially successful artist. Writes poetry and fiction, does physical therapy charity hospital work for the indigent.
