About the Book

On the morning of September 11, 2001, my country and city was viciously attacked without warning, and it changed the lives of every single one of us. I am a New Yorker, born and raised here, and have never called any other place home. The attack on the World Trade Center shook my life to its very foundations. The loss of life was too much for any of us to bear. But two days after the attacks, it would become very personal for me. This is the story of my life in the year after the worst day in our history, and how I was determined that the world would not forget my dear friend.
