About the Author
THE AUTHOR Evon Morris, a Southern Ohioan, was born in Dayton, Ohio, in 1922. His father was a physician who owned a farm near the small town of Bellbrook where he spent many summer days as a schoolboy on vacation. Here, he picked up the colloquialism of that region which is expressed in his novella, “Reno.” After high school, he matriculated at Ohio State University where he became a professional musician. Awhile later he became a songwriter and actor in the Midwest and eventually in Hollywood. In California he became interested in Indian history as reflected in the short story “El Amor Inmortal.”
