About the Book

In an alternative universe where monsters roam and God is retiring, the daughter of Satan wants to take God’s place. She follows the prophecy that states that there are four different organizations in a fight to become the next God. The girl gathers people who are considered “monstrous” and are generally looked down up, also giving them fitting codenames. They are now expected to fight for the title of God. Each character has their own backstory and reason why they decided to help Magic. The point of view changes throughout the chapters, giving any reader a character to relate to. Each disgusting human is shown not to be as disgusting as they are portrayed.

About the Author

R.C. Gaumond started writing Disgustingly Human in her freshman year of high school. At first it was a series of short stories of the backgrounds of characters, but it eventually turned into an entire novel. Her unique sense of humor shows throughout the book by the characters and colorful descriptions. R.C. has an over appreciation for religion and psychology, which are re-occurring themes within the novel. She loves to express how people uniquely perceive the world by giving each character their own opinions on controversy subjects such as sexism and gender identity; she doesn’t necessarily believe all of the perceptions that her characters do. Her hobbies consist of writing, graphic designing, and video editing. She hopes someday to write and illustrate a series of books.
