About the Book
Life was acceptable for Thomas Louis Rodgers. He was content as a recognized archeological professor in an out-of-the-mainstream but well-respected upstate New York university. Only rarely now did he become morose at the loss of his wife.
Then he receives a package. Its contents leads to a journey of discovery and dangers, of emotions and entanglements. Thomas Rodgers aspires to be just like his late, successful father. Is he ready for this extreme challenge?
Rodgers assembles an unlikely team of archeological investigators — a dentist, a university assistant, a Japanese exchange scholar and an independent consultant/scientist. Along with his girlfriend, they embark on a hunt that begins in the familiar pastoral serenity of Monroe, New York, and extends to the mother lode of religions, Jerusalem. The acceptable life of Thomas Rodgers is about to unravel.
As the team uncovers pieces of the deepening mystery, they are also exposed to clues that brings them to question their own lives. But what they unearth in the City of David, buried in a two-thousand year old mud pit, leads them into extreme danger, and close to secrets that man was perhaps never meant to know.
