Ron’s strength of character helped him survive and prevail, but there was one enemy he could not conquer, one that changed his life completely and forever. It is an inspiring record of a life in which Ron has still found purpose; it is truly a tribute to the human spirit.

About the Author

Ron Thompson was born in Thomasville, Georgia, in 1949. At age four, he and his mother moved to Pennsylvania. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and service his country from 1966-1968. Later he attended a technical school and became a machinist. He worked at the shipyards in VA. and on turbine engines in NJ. Ron became a correction officer from 1975-1993 at Trenton State Prison. During that time, he married, had two daughters and became a successful investor. Because on one bad decision, he is spending the rest of his life in a long-term care facility.
