About the Book

This book is written to provide a text for our friends in the education world, including the educators who attend our sessions, and those in the technology industry who focus on providing innovative solutions for educating children. As No Child Left Behind moves into its third year, and reauthorization of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act has finally been accomplished, educators are hard at work putting into practice the mandates of federal legislation. This is not an easy job. It is our hope that this book will provide some help in accomplishing the daunting tasks. It seems to us that the broader key is accessibility. This book strives to create awareness of the unfolding opportunities and challenges for collaboration between educators and technologists, in concert with the current legislation. You will find included a Summary of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and a Summary of IDEA – 2004 as valuable resources for educators.

About the Author

Nancy Fisher spent 26 years in sales and sale management positions for technology companies, including Xerox Corporation and Apple Computer, before starting her consulting company in 2001.
