About the Book
Mr. Datt’s poems reflect wide international interests and attitudes and have enough interest for a wide range of readers. His subjects include the nuclear holocaust to domestic issues between man and wife. He expressed liberal sympathies taking up the cause of victimized people whether they are aboriginal Canadians, South African Blacks or Rodney King.
By combining poignant moments of boyhood experiences, realistic details concerning issues, his poetry employs richly evocative language and universal themes; social and cultural issues and its impact upon society and world politics. Naraine offers a thought provoking and intriguing examination of one man’s life and his personal growth process.
About the Author
DRINK FROM MY CALABASH Elizabeth Newleaf elizabeth5549@hotmail.com Mr. Datt is among the most exciting of the new poetry I've seen! I love the poem's theme of returning to nature as our guide to what is important, as well beautiful and graceful. And I take delight in the subtlety of this poet's allusion to ancient spiritual teaching: in Bhagavad Gita, God (embodied in the Avatar Krishna) states that He will accept the offering of even a leaf.. or a drop of water, when given with the love of a pure heart. http://PostPoems.com/members/newleaf
