Howden - Biography Honored by Queen Elizabeth 11 in 1988 for poem, The Distant Children of Royal Egbert; received a thank you letter. ‘86 in Vancouver, B.C. when poem; Yukon: The Soul of it All was honored by Mrs. Pearl Keenan, who was then Commissioner of the Yukon Territory, by including it in the Yukon Terri-tory Pavilion, and by hanging a copy of it in the Govern-ment Building in Whitehorse. Howden has written some 1600 poems since 1986, three novels three screenplays, two plays, two stories for children, and many works which are in progress.
