" Dear readers, The chihuahua in this story is from me the illustrator. This little dog was given to my mother as a christmas present a few years ago. Mother was in a nursing home at the time, after a 23 year battle with left side paralysis due to a stroke. Mother pasted on ""Elvis"" was at her side all along. I have worked many years as a geriatric nurse, also in nursing homes. Elvis, comes to work with me often. He still goes to every room looking for his owner, my mother. "
