About the Book

This book is about five women whose courage and tenacity allowed them to forge ahead in spite of adversity.

Alone, yet inspired, they chiseled their way in and around an obstinate society and an apathetic world, bolstered in large part by their own fortitude and the strength of their convictions until they succeeded, each of them, at achieving their goals and at changing that world and that society, forever.

Their never-to-be forgotten struggle captures our heart as it does our interest, admiration, and gratitude.

About the Author

A former high school English teacher, Ms. Koromec earned her Masters in Education from Hofstra University and now lives on Long Island with her husband and daughter.
