I offer this collection as glimpses of every man who has fallen and risen, laughed when he should have cried, forgot to count his blessings and invented a few when he needed them.

About the Author

I am an ex-Nanaman, ice cream vendor, stevedore, street tailor, truck driver and numerous others too tiresome to mention. I have gleaned from my experience a perspective that was fashioned by conversations with bums in suits and prophets dressed in rags, sailors that never left port, soldiers that lived through a war only to return home and die from alcohol and drugs. I have seen the hopeless rise and the touted fall, beauty in despair, love wrapped in the cloak of hate, tremendous strength passed as weakness and the restoration of hope through honesty.
