About the Book
Most twelve-year-olds celebrate the end of the school year. Not Annie. She knows when the bus chugs away, she begins her stay on her grandmother’s farm. An endless stretch of land so boring, grass passes by, refusing to grow there. Annie dreams to escape boredom. Cecil flies to escape home. They share tales of the rainforest, aliens and underwater cities while questioning love, life and if it ends. A shared experience changes their relationship forever.
Flights of Annieis a remarkable journey that celebrates the innocence and wisdom of children breathing in the space between the baby and adult in all of us.
