About the Book

ABOUT THE BOOK

OZARK CHERRY takes a look at the lives of a few local characters living in Northwest Arkansas.  This book explores the emphasis that these particular people place on sex and drugs while trying to cope with life.

RICHIE is an underachiever, who feels he will always succeed on the merit of his sexual prowess. He has a complicated relationship with his six children, and an even more complicated relationship with the women in his life.

DELLA is married with two children, but has always loved another man. She is a religious woman who is overcome by earthly desires. The true identify of her children’s father is revealed, and she loses the life she so desired.

PHIILLIP is straight out of an Arkansas State Prison and wanting to make a new start.  He is torn between his old life and the new life that comes his way.

BARBARA is a wealthy divorcee from Dallas who moves to a small resort town. She opens a Bed and Breakfast, and her life is redefined. She doesn’t have much in common with old friends, and makes new friends in unlikely places.

KEVIN is a successful restaurant owner.  He is a homosexual with many friends, and a deep compassion for others. In his loneliness, he looks for love on the Internet, with deadly consequences.

Our characters mingle with the locals: BODIE, a pig farmer turned politician and not a man to be crossed – AQUANET, Della’s daughter, is a beauty pageant hopeful who falls in love with her first cousin – LEON is an unemployed neighbor wanting to make a fast buck – MAN is a gay bar regular who has a sinister streak – PRETTY BOY is a high school senior who wants to play house with an older woman.
