About the Book
Imaginary Botanicals is a collection of selected artworks by Craig Stover that spans almost 3 years - post September 11, 2001. The imaginary botanicals theme came from the artists experiences working with the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia as well as a fusion of art history, allegory, hidden architecture, and color theory. This catalog was created to compliment the artist’s website at www.picturemaker.com which hosts almost 100 additional images as well as a comprehensive article on the origins and meanings of the entire series titled "The artists´ notes". This catalog of 40 reproductions gives a vibrant and colorful glimpse of a modern artist at the beginning of our new century. They are full of hope. They are a rebirth for the human sole.
