About the Book
Dawning Ascent covers my poetic views when I was born in Baltimore, Maryland during the Depression Thirties when my poetry reflected my childhood growing up on a homestead in Florida to getting through my elementary schooling in a little, college town of DeLand, Florida until graduating in Art Major from Baltimore City College, where I was official poet of the June Bugs class of 1942.
Growing up through my long, enjoyable life, I had this burning desire to write and compose about every promising aspect and significant issue in dramatic, human events.
About the Author
As a retired elementary teacher as well as an art instructor of Southern California’s Moorpark Union School District for twenty-five years, he can look back on reading THE ADVENTURES of VENIMON and RHUR to his reading classes where his students were literally captivated. His portrayal of their many hilarious episodes of rollicking, gamboling characters met with Ven’s and Rhur’s experiences that dealt with good, positive qualities, relating to friendship, courage, sincerity, will and love. His extraordinary, innate gifts of art and writing are designed to inspire his students by his vivid imagination of whimsy for them to draw from his story illustrations as well as stimulate their own imaginations to story making. He instilled in their young, impressionable minds the fulfillment to success in better reading skill abilities.
