About the Book

From her humble beginning in the town of Ibajay, Aklan, Island of Panay, Philippines, she stood out, strived to earn education. Not even war could stop her from succeeding her studies. She earned her degree in Architecture from Mapua Institute of Technology in Manila. Then… her quest for excellence has just started.

From being the first lady Architect in Aklan Province in the 1950s, she ventured in Government Services in The National Shipyard and Steel Corporation. After these corporations were privatized, she migrated to the U.S. For sometime, she worked with a Ship Building Firm as a draftswoman. Then after, she qualified for a job in the County Sheriffs Department as Facilities Planning Assistant. Her thirst for wisdom finds her time to earn a certificate in art from Washington School of Art, Dearborn, IL and several courses L.A. Harbor College namely Export and import, Ceramics, Real Estate, and Spanish.

After retirement, she engage in Photo Journalism wrote articles in magazine, published poetry and poems in Heritage Magazine devoted to Filipino Culture and Historical events. She is still active in community activities, volunteer works for the Church and disabled.
