About the Author

Barbara Collette Wevers and her husband, Bill, live in Woodstock, VA. They have two daughters, both who are married, and one grandson. She enjoys family gatherings where traditions are still carried out and stories of the past are still told. Barbara’s ancestry includes French, German, and Native American. Her husband’s includes Dutch and English. The combination of their cultural backgrounds inspired her to write about the immigration movement.
