About the Book

To know Kenneth Davis is to know his Mom, Mrs. Minnie M. Davis. Instead of defi ning himself by his graduate/undergraduate credentials, and honorable-military service, he would like to let you know a little about him through Mama Minnie. Born June 10, 1935, with humble beginnings, in Oma, Mississippi, she didn’t have a lot of economic resources to offer a family of 10 kids. However, she constantly gave her children exactly what was needed: love, strong-spiritual values, dignity, passion and a good education. Because of her generosity and ability to dream that America could and would do better, this is who he is. Born in Sontag, Mississippi, this is Kenneth’s fi rst book. His next book is entitled, “Don’t Cross That Creek”. Additionally, he is also laying the ground work for a series of essays and children books. Furthermore, Mama Minnie is Kenneth’s hero and he just wants somebody (the world) to know his Mom’s face and name. Daddy I.V., Grandpa Alton, and Grandma Jemima would be proud that she is fi nally honored.
