About the Book
This book is about the friendship between a shy housewife and an old mouse. The housewife was not a very sociable person, but her husband was an elite businessman and loved social events. The old mouse taught her social etiquette and helped her to host a dinner party. The old mouse cheered her up and gave her confidence in her life. The mouse shared his nephew’s amazing adventures with her and they became best friends.
About the Author
Yoshie Fujimoto was born in Japan in 1958. When she was a high school student, her dream was to study art at a university and to become an artist. Art was her life, but she had to give up her dreams of becoming an artist because of her family’s financial problems. Almost twenty years ago, she came to the United States to live in Idaho with her family, where she continued to draw on her own. This is her first children’s book with all the illustrations painted by both the author and her youngest daughter, Akina.
