About the Author

Roberta Marlow came across this account of the declaration of martial law almost a half century ago. In The Copperfield Affair, she has created a framework around the occasion, telling it like it was down to the slightest detail that can be researched nearly one hundred years later. She is a twenty-five-year veteran of school classrooms and libraries, and has composed poems, children’s stories, and a novel or two. She is the mother of three, and grandmother of seven. Since retiring in 1994, she has divided her time between helping raise her grandchildren and various hobbies, which include reading, writing, and needlecrafting.
