About the Book

This is the story of how one day Darren Hunter quite simply, went from being a Republican who was a national account representative for a large corporation, living in a sprawling suburban development, to a hermit with no job living in a shack in the woods. Oh--who then started a website. Exileproject.com has been his vehicle for conveying not only a somewhat non-linear progression of life in exile, but also satirical breaking news coverage of events in the outside world. He offers you a chronicle of much of that here for your amusement purposes only! Please understand that the Exile Project was born in irregularity and nurtured by extremity. He remains living on the exile plan and describes for you not only what life is like there, but also provides unique observation and perspective from a man who one day almost with out warning walked completely away from the chaos. It’s an unusual yet compelling place where he now finds himself as a curious onlooker to what goes on beyond the hills where he looks on from with astonishment. The author now lives in almost complete detachment from a world seemingly gone completely mad.

What unfolds here is one man’s story and his observations about what he sees as a collective cultural bankruptcy that’s best to be escaped, if only figuratively
