About the Author
As fate would have a say in the molding of a colorful writer, Helena Cray was born in the diverse city of Calcutta, India and grew up under the influence of the teachings of the Dalai Lama and the romance and mysticism of the Himalayas, the Taj Mahal and the Sunderbands, home of the Royal Bengal Tiger. She spent most of her days soul searching, writing poetry and some short stories until her adult years took her on her journeys far and wide from Iran, crossing boundaries and borders she once dreamed of, to Greece and Italy where the seeds of her book was planted. Inspired by the greatness of King Cyrus and where Alexander the Great once coveted to conquer the Ottoman Empire, she sought the magic of the pen and put her inspiration on paper. Born to parents of Indian descent, raised by a motivating step father, Helena grew up in a boarding school; upon graduating she began her travels. She lived in Iran for many years. She witnessed the Iran hostage crisis and the revolution then she fled to the USA where she found refuge and freedom, not just from a country at war but also from the chains of human bondage.
