About the Book

My name is Janet E. Walker Niles. I was raised in a large family in Ironton, Ohio. I am the mother of three children and have a grandson. I have a loving husband and two stepchildren. I am very fortunate to have my family and friends.
This book is dedicated to one person who was a family member and friend. Mandy was a very special person and I want her to be remembered. She was the victim of a brutal murder. A case that was never solved, or one that didn’t seem to be of importance to some. But it was very important to those of us who loved her. When I first began to write this story, it was a tribute to Mandy, but then her mother’s courage sent me on another idea. She taught me a valuable lesson in forgiveness, how to let go of anger and hatred. I wanted to send that message out is this book, not to remember Mandy, but to remind us all the importance of forgiveness.
